Hi. I'm Angie at AKH Wreaths.

This website has been over 3 years in the making after trying several different sites and watching hundreds of hours of wreath makers' videos and tutorials. I so love watching their videos and how they interact during their lives. BUT, there is only one problem. MY wreaths have been sitting. Or hanging on the spare bedroom walls. So now it's time to stop that sitting and hanging around and kick things into gear and get the ball rolling with what I have learned along the way since October 2020.

It has taken me some time to build my trust because I am new to the online wreathing space, but I am highly inspired by Julie at Julie's Wreath Boutique and am a member of Julie's Biz Boutique and Julie's Crafting Boutique. I have learned so much from Julie and her expertise and tools and she comes highly recommended in my book. I may still use other techniques from other wreath makers though. I like to use all forms of wreath mesh and burlap, but I think my new-found favorite is Poly Burlap.

I still work my full-time job at a local hospital in my area so time is full and days are busy, but I love to make these wreaths. I work in the Revenue Cycle in Patient Accounts for Medicare Advantage so having the chance to get out of my head to relieve the stress and make something pretty and fun is total wreath therapy for me! My little studio is the back half of my dining room area where I have set up an extra table to use as my work space. We all have to start somewhere and hey...it works! I was using the spare bedroom, but I didn't like the closed-in and alone feeling in there and my house is full once again with my kids...and I am loving that!

So this is a little bit about me and how AKH Wreaths was born. Those are my initials by the way. Nothing strange or mysterious, lol. I hope you enjoy this website and the wreaths I create. I hope you can find a wreath you will love to add to your home decor or hang on your front door. They have all been made with excitement and love.
